Copa del Rey: Real Madrid Fall 3-2 in Heated Final

April 26: The El Clásico rivalry appeared at one of the biggest stages again as Real Madrid faced Barcelona in Seville for the Copa Del Rey Final.  Madrid just squeaked by Real Sociedad after a 5-4 victory on aggregate in the semifinals.  This competition was entertaining and passionate as these matchups typically are, as goals by Mbappé and Tchouaméni in the 70th and 77th minutes contributed to what resulted in a tie after 90 minutes.  After even play through the first half of extra time, Barcelona defender slotted a shot from just outside the 18-yard box into the bottom left corner, signaling Real Madrid's imminent defeat.  However, in the 121st minute, a foul was called against Kylian Mbappé while dribbling after a flop by Barcelona's Eric Garcia.  The horrific call left the Real Madrid squad fuming, resulting in red cards to Rüdiger, Vázquez, and Bellingham. Real Madrid lost 3-2.
